A supplementary newsheet for the Bowsden Bugle
21st December 2020

Borders Buses Service 464 changes to the Bowsden timetable will be made from Monday 4th January 2021. As most of you will know the service returned to the village on 30th November for a trial period using the entrance to Bowsden Hall Farmyard as a turning point.
Unfortunately due to the length of the buses required for the school runs and the dark mornings and evenings at this time of year, some problems have been encountered. In the interests of safety and to avoid any accidental damage, school services will not come into the village and the pick-up point for Bowsden passengers will be the road end junction between B6525 and C14 (Bowsden Lane).
The services affected on Mondays to Fridays during school term will be:
0721 to Wooler
1541 to Wooler
0821 to Berwick
1656 to Berwick
All other weekday services will be unaffected as shorter buses will be used. These will continue to enter the village, turning round in the farmyard.
Services outside of term time and all Saturday services are not affected as the shorter buses will be used.

The Annual General Meeting of Bowsden Village Hall Managemennt Committee was held by Zoom on Saturday 19th December. Six members were present, two had sent apologies and there were eight members of the community present. The minutes of the last AGM (29th April 2019) were adopted and there were no matters arising.
Minutes of this meeting will be published on the Notice Board and Bowsden website in due course.

Christmas Greetings to all our readers and a fervent wish that 2021 will see an end to the pandemic and a return to “normality”, hopefully building on the many examples of service and dedication to others exhibited across society during the past year.
