About us

Bowsden village and our community

Set in the centre of the pretty village of Bowsden, in the beautiful countryside of north Northumberland, Bowsden is 8 miles south of Berwick, just off the B6525, which connects to the A1. At the heart of our vibrant rural community the village hall is the home of a variety of local clubs, groups and events such as carpet bowls, craft and needlework, ladies’ fitness and is also the venue for regular meetings and local history talks.

We have a busy calendar of regular community events ranging from our monthly coffee mornings, soup and sandwich lunches to film nights, pub and quiz nights with licensed bar. Come and join us and feel the warm welcome.

Our excellent facilities include a fully fitted kitchen, toilets, 50″ flat screen TV, projector, screen, audio, meeting chairs and tables. The hall also has a defibrillator is wheelchair accessible, and has directly accessible on street parking in front of the hall.

Today’s larch clad village hall replaced an earlier hall, completed in 2009 with the help of National Lottery funding and provides local residents and visitors with a thoroughly modern meeting venue.

Bowsden Village Hall is a well-appointed, flexible space for family and group celebrations, as well as business and group meetings and presentations. It offers a perfect local community venue for people from Bowsden and surrounding areas to meet, socialise and relax in a purpose-built, bright, modern space.
